i dont understand the fuss over the interior.. the dashboard, steering wheel, and seats all look great to me. the metal touches are great too... It's all irrelevant anyway. Aside from the steering wheel, the production cabin will be substantially different to the radical one seen in the concept.

... but is that such a good thing? whats wrong with a more radical, funky interior? Ok the seats are not practical but the rest of the cabin should be carried over, IMO

I read, in two reliable magazines that it will be the same body, albeit more pumped. No “boat”

I'm relieved. To me the seats don't look like wood though. They look like beach furniture? Tough fabric on a wire frame, It seems to convey a very carefree apeal. I like it.

They will have a hatch back, a 2 door coupe, a 4 door coupe, and a convertable version!
Also the M version will have like 240hp! check it out here http://bmwtalk.com tons of pictures of the 1 series here |

Looks like the 1-series won’t get a six-pot for fear of stealing sales from the 3... kind of a shame, though you never know they might release a limited edition... that would be cool

well if the M1 gets the rumored turbo charged 240hp motor... imagine the upgrade and performance potential!
