How to get to rear exhaust manf bolts on '99?
Trying to bring the y-pipe down and I cannot for life of me get to two of the nuts that connect the pipe to the rear headers. Any suggestions?

they're hell to get off on an older max cuz they rust heavily. the best way would be to get new hardware from nissan and just cut the bolts off. you could also try a lot of penetrating catalyst to get the rust loosened, or you could take an oxy-acetaline torch and try to heat the bolts til they're free. You could also bring it to a shop with an impact gunand just ask them to loosen them with the gun and then tighten them again to hand tight so you can finish the work yourself when you get home.

Soak them with PB Blaster and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Then, start the car and idle for 5-10 seconds. Show the bolts no mercy lol

having re-read the post do you mean you can't get to the bolts or that they won't come off? if you can't reach them try using a pivotal socket
