Just got half my car re-painted..got a ?

I just had my doors, fenders, sideskirts, and front bumper re-painted. I just picked it up today. The thing is the white they re-painted it in doesnt match the color i had before. Its kinda close but a darker white. the paint is still pretty soft. So after the paint is cured do u think it will get lighter to match, or is it gonna stay the same? i have a pic.. see the difference b/t the door an the rear panel.

any repetuble shop would have blended new paint, if it doesnt lighten up, bring it back and make them do it again.

the thing about it is it has a flake in the clear. so i dont think it can be blended. but this new stuff they put a lot more clear on than when they repainted the entire car b4. also theres not quite as much flake in the clear on the new stuff. it doesnt seem to lighten up, will probably stay this way. i should make them paint the rest of the car so that it matches the color they put on it...

i would make them paint it, you payed for it to match, even if that means painting the whole car over.

It almost seems like they would have too. you wanted the same color, and they didnt give you the same color, so they have to give a discound or something like that.

Well they really should do it for free. But unless you're really an asshole about getting it done i highly doubt this will happen. If you have something in writting that says "paint blend" or anything along the lines of that i.e. matching paint etc.. It is a clear cut case of being ripped off. if not they'll prolly be like f-off we don't care. Peace-

its fine, just a good rule of thumb is if its over a month since the last post...its dead... and if u have something to tell the original poster...use the PM function.

i forgot all bout this thread.. but the paint has lightened up some but u can still tell it. i took it by an they said they will blend it for 300...... is that good?

NO WAY. They should do it for free. They are supposed to blend it the first time.

im not worried bout it now. i already gotta have my hatch repainted since i took my wing off. so thats gonna be another color of white there.. but then again ill just take my car else where for now on. i would really like to repaint the entire car myself later on.
