1988 Grand Marquis fuel pump
1988 Grand Marquis Colony Park wagon, 5.0 V8 fuel injected. I need to replace the fuel pump. Do I access it by dropping the tank, or can I get to it by pulling the back seat up? I have got under the wagon and am not sure where the fuel lines come out. I have just seen what look like a couple of electrical lines or vent lines. If I need to drop the tank, do I have to disconnect lines somewhere first? Any info is appreciated. Thanks

Re: 1988 Grand Marquis fuel pump
Some of these have two pumps one in the tank a primer pump. The external pump is next to the fuel filter.
If it only has one pump the gas tank has to be dropped. Some even show a mechanical pump. Normal 5.0L have an in tank fuel pump. |
