Re: Porsche 996 GT3 Mk1
Forget that fast thing dude! You just couldn't resist screwing it up! Ramon told me that 550 would be a fast build if I remembered right. Nice touch on the skirt, it really made some differences. And it comes to the bulb, just how detailed you're gonna push it!!!

Good work!
Just wondering, will your chassis mod for the ride height not interfere with the interior tub and windsheild assembly?

Re: Porsche 996 GT3 Mk1
Very very nice modification on the sideskirts which come really ugly out from the box...
Now I'm curious to see the headlights finished, another nice touch. R P.S. Have you got my mail with the photos...? (Wheels are on the way to Malaysia) |

Re: Porsche 996 GT3 Mk1
Tang, i have many WANTED to built kits, and few that i wish to be highly detailed, so i try my best to finish each in the fastest time possible...although i know most likely i'll fail to do that
Chris, believe it or not, i actually didn't test fit the windows until you remind me, only the interior tub, so i tested it just now, luckily it still fit after the reduce height with zero gap , but to be safe, i slightly trim the edge of the interior tub, thanks anyway Robi, i did send you an email reply anyway, those wheels look 100x much better i hope can test it ASAP, thanks a lot! |

Re: Porsche 996 GT3 Mk1
Your progress is informative. I also was wondering if the interior would fit good. Good luck.

About the wheels, you know it will be necessary modifying the pin and despite the overall diameter is similar to the Tamiya's, to have the low ride height shown in the photos, I guess it will be necessary modifying also the suspension fixing. Anyway, let's see... Robi |

Re: Porsche 996 GT3 Mk1
Last week i received a set of wheel from Robi, he was kind enough to send it for me free (million thanks Robi)
The wheel is from Geronimo Works, really nice wheel Closer look at the wheel However the wheel mounting is different from Tamiya So I got to remove the pegs with a side cutter and sand it off nicely After that i drill a holes and super glue a 2mm plastic rod The problem with Tamiya's 911 GT3 wheel is that they use 360 Modena's Tire which is much more thicker, maybe to save cost Now it look better with a thinner tire and bigger rim the rear wheel fit nicely without any modification besides the peg, the front however i need to trim off the peg on the brakes because the wheel stick out too much as usual i dislike the heater line at the rear glass, too obvious wet sand with 600, 1000, 1500 & 2000 grit and polish with Tamiya's compound looks good but when under certain lights, u can still see some tiny scratches so i repeat with Tamiya's compound, much better now, still need some polish at the edge though now i can have a better view inside comments are welcome |

Re: Porsche 996 GT3 Mk1
Those wheel & esp the tires look heaps better on the GT3!
Im always nervous about removing the molded window defroster from clear parts, but youve managed to show what can be done!!! Amazing! Cant wait to see more!!
