S-10 Blazer fuel sensor overheating
I have a 1998 Blazer..4 DR, 4WD, that has a problem with the fuel relay switch, it gets hot and quits. I was told the fuel pump was going out so that has been changed as well as the fuel tank, the lines and the fuel filter. I am keeping it full of gas, because I was told that the fuel helps cool the pump. If it quits, I put a different fuel sensor in, and it goes again, until that one gets hot, but that is a pain and I can't rely on that to keep working, with it obviously having a bigger, as yet undefinable issue....Please Help, if you have any advice at all! Thanks

Re: S-10 Blazer fuel sensor overheating
Just a guess but is there a fuse in the system that was replaced with an incorrect size/too much amp?

How hot warm to touch or smoking? Was it a new delphi/ac delco pump module or just a el cheapo pump and sender or just a used tank with pump? Have you checked it to pump and how many amps is pump pulling?
