2005 Elantra Belts
I'm getting ready to change 3 belts (alternator, a/c, and power steering) on my 2005 Elantra. I can only find tips on changing the a/c belt. Any tips on the other 2? Thanks in advance!

Re: 2005 Elantra Belts
alternator belt, fairly easy.
1) You will be moving the alternator forward to allow the belt to come off. 2) Loosen the nut below the car that holds the bolt and allows the alternator to rotate. 3) from the top loosen the adjuster bolt etc and push alternator forward, belt will come off easily. 4) Goes around 3 pulleys |

Thanks! That should help on that one! I found directions on the a/c belt as well, so that just leaves the power steering belt.

Re: 2005 Elantra Belts
If it's like mine, there are 2 bolts on the power steering pump itself. One locks it in place on top, the other lets it swivel at the bottom. Loosen both and you should be able to move the pump far enough to get the belt off. Put the new one one and adjust the pump itself to set the tension.
