Storage Compartment between seatbacks

I just got a 2002 TT Convertible (225 HP) so I am new to this forum. One thing I have noticed is that the storage compartment between the seatbacks does not like to stay closed. If you look at it too hard it will open! :-) It locks and unlocks with the key remote, but I have seen it unlatch and open by simply unlocking it with the key remote. The Audi dealer told me that this is common for this car. Has anyone else had this problem and if so did you find a way to remedy it? My elbow always seems to find it when it is down (open) and it drives me nuts.

Ps...

After posting that message I found this thread on another board addressing this problem. Quite humorous! Check it out: http://forums.audiworld.com/tt/msgs/274680.phtml
