Re: How many miles do you get per full tank?
99 Civic DX
D16Y7 eBay cold air intake, OBX 4-2-1 header, Tanabe Racing Medallion catback exhaust, AEM cam gear, AEM pulleys, OBX 10.5 mm spark plug wires I run 93 octane due to advanced timing, 94 or better sometimes when I can get it. From driving back and forth to work 5 days a week, about 40 miles total, some highway, I usually get anywhere from 28 to 33 mpg. I drove out to my grandmother's a few times, which is about 220+ miles one way, and managed to make the trip there and back on the same tank of gas. Best gas mileage was 46.7 mpg. Shit, this thread is old.

Re: Re: How many miles do you get per full tank?
1992 LX Automatic 30% city and 70% highway. I get 220 miles to the tank. Why am I getting shitty milage? My car has 99,000 miles on it. I met someone with a 93 DX with 272,000 miles and was getting 380 miles to the tank! Help me please! I beg you! Anything to make my milage better!

1996 Honda Civic DX HB
Stock engine, exhaust, wheels (13") CAI (custom) 5-spd manual 11.1 gallons US fuel tank 95% highway driving I drive 140mi/day for 5 days out of the week, avaraging about 75mph. I normally get a hair over 40mpg, and usually drop about 8.2 gallons in the tank at the 300 mile marker- it gives me a hundred mile leeway. I run cheapie 87 octane from Flying J truck stop mostly. Heh, one of the big things that will be a pain with an engine swap is my gas milage will get worse... i'm already at 2 tanks a week :/ oh well... I STILL spend less a week then those SUV drivers

Re: How many miles do you get per full tank?
holy dead thread batman!!! You drive a DX though, it the opitimy(sp) of gas conservation next to the HX and VX. I get about 250 miles out of a full tank in the Sentra, was the same in the Civic. But my ole' D16A6 really needed a freaking tuneup, just never got around to doing it.

Re: How many miles do you get per full tank?
I get anywhere from 375-410 out of my 94 Civic DX. I have low rph shift points i could tell you since the damn car doesn't have a tach but i usually shift 1st at 15 2nd at 25 3rd at 35-40 4th at 50 and into 5th at 60. Now if i get a lead foot i still get 350 a tank.

1996 Civic SR Coupe (D16Y8)
The best I managed was 350 miles, driving between 70 and 100 mph on a continuous journey. On average I get around 260 - 270 miles urban driving, with journeys usually around 5 miles. Surprising really because I don't really drive economically, I try to reach 5500 rpm at least once a day. Petrol in the UK is expensive £3.70 ($6.50) per gallon! |
