03 Monte Carlo
Hi, I'm new to this site and hopefully someone can assist me with my questions. Ok let's get started, I have a 2003 Chevy Monte Carlo with a V6 Motor in it and I was thinking of dropping a 350 in it. I was wondering if this would be possible and if it is possible would I have to swap out the transmission also? I will not be doing this project by myself I will take it to a Mechanic and have them install it for me all I will be doing is buying the parts.

Re: 03 Monte Carlo
The transaxle can't handle the torque of the 350, I doubt it will fit, and you'll never get it to hook up. You'd have less money into buying a Camaro/Firebird for the V-8 play car and keep the Monte stock for a daily driver.

Re: 03 Monte Carlo
Although, you may be able to fit GM's new LS4 323 (5.3L) that's in the new monte.
