2001 Suzuki Vitara wont start fuel pump issues
I have a 2001 Suzuki Vitara that has a 2.0 L 16valve engine with an A/T. It wont start and the fuel pump never makes a sound. Even in 3 second prime. I've checked all fuses and relays and they are in good working order. I have power at the pink wire to the pump. I've cleaned every ground wire I can find. I still don't get any fuel from the pump. I believe that it is a ground problem. I don't know what the four wires at the pump should read key on and key on after 3 seconds and key cranking. Can I jump the ground? Is this an immobilizer problem. The vehicle ran when parked but sat for four months. Help!

Also the CEL is on with key and no codes present on the OBDII diagnostic connector.

Re: 2001 Suzuki Vitara wont start fuel pump issues
sounds like your fuel pump is bad if you have power to it and it doesn't run. the check engine light will stay on until engine starts then should go out. try running a extra ground wire or jumper cable to gas tank, fuel pump grounds to it and if you drop the tank you can check for power to the fuel pump connector to make sure its not a broken wire between relay and tank
