ROD BEARINGS has anybody tried?
I have a 94 plymouth voyager with the 3.0 and after new head gaskets, waterpump, timing belt, and thermostat a light tapping that was present in the engine before all this has now become more pronounced. I want to check my rod bearings. Is this possible with the engine in the car? Has anybody done this before?
Also just to know is it possible to extract a piston from the bottom of the motor, with the motor still in the vehicle??? |

Re: ROD BEARINGS has anybody tried?
You just need to remove oil pan to check rod bearings, and there is no need to pull piston out from bottom since it cant be reinstalled that way. If i remember right you will need to remove portion of exhaust to drop oil pan.
