93 diamante exhaust
I have a 93 Mitstbishi Diamante, and my exhaust is loud because I put some Sea Foam in my tank after it sat for about 2 months. I put the Sea Foam in an almost empty tank, let it run for about 20 minutes, and drove it to put $15 worth of high octaine fule in. On my way back I put the pedal to the metal, and when it was about to change gears something happened. Now it sounds horrible. But only when I put it in drive, not neutran, park, or reverse. I looked under the car and I see where a flex pipe has come loose from a steel pipe barely. That's why it's only loud when it's in drive, it is pulling apart. And when it's not in drive, the pipes are together, making it quiet. Is this a major problem ?

Re: 93 diamante exhaust
Usually it's just annoying. Good news is that most muffler shops can replace just the flex portion with an aftermarket piece.

Re: 93 diamante exhaust
hi my boyfriend had a similar problem... go to carparts.com type in all the info you need to find an area close to you who has a flex pipe. go to a salvage yard and get the flex pipe and get a muffler shop to put it on for you its quite easy so they shouldnt charge you lots of mulah... k
