Programming for 1997 Avalon remote
I am looking for instructions for programming my 1997 Avalon remote. I have two remotes for this car and both are "dead" (new batteries in one). I can't believe the dealer wants so much to program this thing. Anyone have the instructions?

Re: Programming for 1997 Avalon remote
How do do this depends on a lot of things, most significantly if the remote system is factory or was installed by Toyota after coming to the US (at the dock). I have the same problem and found this Tech Service Bulletin to help explain at least where to look.

95-97 Avalon remote programming instructions
I found this out from an ebay auction. Here is the link. I have not personnally tried this, but I doubt this business owner would have any reason to post bogus material. Good luck...let us know if it works or doesn's work.
