87 635 L6 ---Brakes
I have a beautiful 87 L6- Everything works fine but the brakes.Ater I start it up and drive 15-minutes the brakes start dragging and contiune dragging worse until I have to stop because all 4 wheels are really HOT. What could cause these symptoms? Thanks John

Hmm,
Air in the lines.
As you use the brakes before they are dragging, the air expands and applies the brakes, causing the temperature to go higher, applying more more pressure. The fact it releases as the brakes cool is prove it is just air in the lines. Now bleeding the brakes is not an easy deal. I would not attempt to bleed an e24 brake system without a pressure bleeder. I tried to have my wife operate the pedal while I bleed them. She said the pressure bleeder was a better deal than the legal fees. I have used as much as 2 liters of brake fluid to get a real deal bleed job. Later,

The guide pins on the brake caliper may be worn out and have somehow frozen in place. Check to make sure your brake calipers are working correctly.
