94 Eclipse no sparks

My son's Eclipse just quit on him. No sparks.

Happened suddenly, so I do assume it is probably a component failure of some sort. Distributor cap looks OK. The problem is that all the ignition stuff is in the distributor assembly, and without parts to swap / try out - troubleshooting is tricky. Any help/suggestion would be appreciated.

remove the upper timing cover and check th etiming belt, if it broke, u need to replace it and pray no valves bent
