Looking for a 4 bbl carb
I am having trouble finding any information concerning the proper carburetor to replace the stock 2 bbl carb with. I am wanting to go with a 4 bbl. (1991 Dodge Ram D150 2 w/d 318 w/ AT)

Re: Looking for a 4 bbl carb
That 2 bbl is not a carburator,it is throttle body fuel injection that is a form of electronic fuel injection. You have to do a whole lot of changes to carburator set up,the intake and the distribitor and differant way to set the fuel lines for the fuel delivery. The EFI distribitor will not work with the carburator and one set up with a carburator will work.Eletronic Fuel injection is a lot better and more dependable than the carburator anyway.

Re: Looking for a 4 bbl carb
Thanks for the response. Since it seems a little too involved, is there anything else that I can do to get a little better HP and performance ( headers, dual exhaust, etc) without tearing into the motor. I don't have a LOT of money in this truck but I did paint it, new tires, rims, interior, stereo, spray-in bedliner, new battery, power steering pump, new fan and clutch, new radiator, air cleaner assembly, brakes, and A/C compressor. I just want to do a few mods to upgrade the engine. I use the truck as a daily driver and want to make it dependable as possible. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, JT @ Yella Dog Enterprises
