1991 Q45 Fuel Delivery Issue
The Q45 I am working on cranks, but won't start. I shoved some starter fluid down the intake (vertical intakes accept it so much better and it did start. So I figure it's a fuel issue. I looked around the engine for the fuel rail and a pressure release valve to check the pressure, but couldn't find the rail?
I figure it is either the fuel pump, fuel filter or a wiring issue to the fuel pump. Whats the typical on this and where should I start. |

On the right shock tower {engine compartment}you'll see the fuel filter.Follow the hose coming from the filter to the fuel rail.Remove the hose from the fuel rail.Shove it into a suitable container while someone cranks the engine. If no fuel is present you most probably have a pump problem.Fuel pumps are a problem on these {and many other}vehicles.good luck
