Re: check engine / service light
Service light:
S/V40/70 older-1999 = Need to use the OBDII testern. S/V40/70 1999-newer = Putting the ignition key into position I, push in and hold the odometer reset button (use your left hand), move the ignition key to position II, when the service light begins to blink, let go of the odometer reset button. Confirm by turning your Volvo off then on again. Engine light: Something is wrong with the engine, are you really sure you just want to ignore it? You can try just to remove the cables from the battery over the night. Will it Light up again, well, and then you have two options, live with it until it and Take a chance and drive until it brakes down. Or let a shop run a test. I have tried to search on our large Swedish forums for an answer but them all Recommend going to a shop and running the test system and check what’s wrong. Could be lots of things, and in the end will you save money by correcting it instead of driving none economically. Could be the oil, could be the air mass counter, could be Lots of different things, most have mentioned that it was relative easy things when they let them run a test. |
