BMW Mini Cooper...how safe is it?
Hey guys...I'm new on the board and I've been looking all over but I cant seem to find much on how safe the Mini Cooper actually is...the only thing I cant find all over the net is how "awesome" it is. Since its so small compared to everything else out on the road does anyone out there have and info or experience on how well this thing does in a crash... as in, if I get hit by a SUV will I walk away alive? Any info anyone will toss up will be a huge help, thanks so much guys.

Re: BMW Mini Cooper...how safe is it?
i actually just drove in one for the first time yesterday (an '06 type S). they're defintely cool little cars and are very unique inside and out, but I would definitely NOT want to get hit by another car while in one. i'm not sure what the actual safety rating is on it, but from the feel of driving in it i think being hit by an SUV would result in very bad news.
cool car? yes survivability after a crash? unlikely
