First of all, welcome!
Interesting project. Are you going to rework the cowls or just put the decals up on the GP4 cowls?

Re: Ducati Desmosedici GP6 | MOTOGP Mugello

Thanks... i originally entered this in the SPC Ducati Contest 2008.
(for sometime off-line now and for reasons unknown to me?)

I will rework the cowlings a bit...

If i stand correct it's mainly the tank (no two-piece assy; airbox/electronics bay and fueltank) and rearend with enclosed exhaust shield for aero benefits.

Also on certain photos the silver looks kinda' like the quicksilver as used on those McLaren MP4/23's; chrome simulation paint like AlClad II.
But more toned down.

See this pic. on flickr.: http://flickr.com/photos/melkin/1468...7602224463450/

As opposed to pic of Capirex ducking it out!

Plain silver metallic won't reflect that much.
