looking at a 1990 blue 2dr eldorado, said to have a "rod knock"

but i was told it runs and the guy was just "told" it has a rod knock and the trans. is a tad bit slippy...


but he's asking 375 so i'm gonna buy no matter what.. will i have alot of trouble fixing it?

My 92 eldo. has 207000 mi. on it it and runs exc. as far as a tranny goes, my tranny didn't wanna go into OD often so i put some Lucas tranny treatment in it and it work and the tranny shifts exc. now. the only thing i gotta do though when its below 35ish degrees is let it warm up in neutral before driving for a little bit and it works great. summertime i have no problems.
