Re: N/A 300zx or SVT Contour
i had to drive 170 miles to get my z. i would of willingly traveled farther.
now for my story of a car beating me that made me go, "WTF". there was this mitsubishi galant wanting to race me. i just laughed and raced him for the hell of it. we pulled up to a stop light and took off. he took off a lot faster than me and when he shifted, a big "pheww". i looked harder and it said vr-4 on it. i never knew there was such a thing. suprised the hell out of me. -Jared

Re: N/A 300zx or SVT Contour
I have one of those super ultra dynamic Nissan Sentra GXE's (automatic, because I can't pick my nose and drive a stick). If you must know I has 115 raw power points (aka horsepower) I was stuck behind one of those slow cars and I was in a rush. I got in the "bitch" lane at the stoplight and i gunned it when the light turned green. I heard a pheww, noise and I thought I was about to get blown away but to my suprise i managed to get enough edge to get in front of them. Let me tell you those construction trucks with 8 guys and 2,000 pounds of machineray in the back are fast!

Re: N/A 300zx or SVT Contour
get a z man, im 17 i have 93 TT and im telling you.. it is my 5th car and by far the BEST for picking up women.. i mean so many its just unbelievable... girls.. most being car ignorant think they are like a porshe or something until i tell them its a nissan. ive had lots of dudes come up to me and be like NICE car. ive owned my 300 for 1 month now and have already killed about 5-7 car in races... dont keep up. my only suggestion is stay off the pedal until you get used to rwd.. n/a would be great to learn on..

Re: N/A 300zx or SVT Contour
1) TT is WAAAAAAAAY too much car for 99.999999% of people under 21.
2) However Z32s aren't "made" for the drag strip, they can do VERY well. 3) I had to drive to Indianapolis from northern kentucky to get my car. Hit up mapquest and it'll tell you it's about 3 hrs of total drive time, I think. 4) Sure...some SVTs are fast...you must always remember that there will ALWAYS...NO MATTER WHAT...be someone faster than you...that's why, no matter how fast you are (or you think you are), you never get cocky. That'll be when you get your ass handed to you by a sunfire or some shit. Find a nice N/A...grow up some...learn how to drive...THEN go find a TT. Quote:

Anyway, I would suggest that if you want to get the TT that you invest some time and money in some track schools and track time. Try getting into club racing (using borrowed cars ) if you can. The first thing I learned from driving an actual race prepped car (borrowed )was that the only way to learn was to practice. How the car feels at the limit of its tires, how it reacts when its sliding, what changes as you go faster, brake harder and push into corners at 1G+. The main problem is that a car behaves very differently at high speed and when cornering hard. Even small inputs of throttle, brakes or steering wheel can produce huge results. Its hard to learn how to drive fast and hard safely and it really just boils down to having to practice. Anyway, good luck on whatever you choose.

Heh...turboed 4G motors...you will learn how to pull that engine. Anyway, I got to get a pic of the piston/connecting rod half that came loose, its not melted like the sig pic up there but atleast that one is in one piece.
