1988 Ramcharger Ignition
I believe that a Ramcharger would fit into this catagory.I have no spark.I've checked the coil and it is fine. The wiring to the electronic control unit seems to be fine. There is ignition power and power from the negative side from the coil. The other two wires come from the distributor. In order to test the signal to the control unit from the distributor, what would I be looking for to ensure the distributor is giving a signal?Would it be an A/C voltage or a fluctuation in the ohms reading? The distributor has dual pick up.Assistance in the troubleshooting of the ignition system would be greatly appreciated.Thanks.

Re: 1988 Ramcharger Ignition
There's a million ways to do that. Get a test light and hook it to a ground, pull a spark plug boot off and place the probe tip down in the boot to contact the metal...crank the engine and look for the test light to light up. Hopefully that helps a little.

Re: 1988 Ramcharger Ignition
Thanks for the input.I did make other inquiries elsewhere and was able to determine that it was the control module.
