Rear ABS line
I replaced my rear ABS line today. The wire from the drivers side ABS pulled out of the connector mounted on the passenger side of the differential. Upon looking closer I belive it was pulled out from some heavy articulation of the axle along with the 2" shackles I have.
When I hooked the line back up I left the plastic clamps unattached where they hold the wire on top of the differential. I'm hoping this will give some extra slack in the line so it doesn't happen again. Now my question: The ABS light is off now, but the brakes pulsate on slow crawling stops. Hard stops are ok, but the ABS is kicking in on slow approaches. For any of you with the ESM is there some calibration that has to take place when reattaching the ABS. (some mark on the wheels that need to line up or something?). Or does the power need to be disconnected for the ABS to reset it'self? Hopefully someone can look it up and help me fix this before I head to GoX on Friday. |

there is a whole section on troubleshooting ABS stuff in the ESM that you'd have to go through to even find the problem, much less fix it. and it looks to be a real PITA either way. no offense but to get it done in time for GOX, i would take it to the dealer.
