Axels in front differential
I have a 96 blazer 4x4 4.3 vortec with 3.42 gears, 4in lift and 32in tires on 8.5 wheels. I was pullin my friends ford out of some sand the other day and a loud pop poppped in the front end when i was in 4 low. I could hear a grinding in my front differential so I bought a new one in a local salvage yard, the gears are 3.73 out of a 97 chevy s-10 high rider(ZR2) I also bout the rear end with a locker. The only problems is that the front axels out of mine do not fit the High Rider, my axels went on the front differential by 6 bolts and the new one goes on by a sliding 3 point piece. The axels teeth are the right size but it cupples right by the teeth a little bit bigger than my old one. Need some help on figuring this one out.

Re: Axels in front differential
All I know is that the front and rear diffs need to have the same gear ratio or you will ruin the transfer case.
