2001 Tacoma E-brake....
The emergency brake on my 2001 Tacoma just broke. By this I mean the lever pulls all the way out, with no resistence. Obviously the wire/pulley broke. Is this something I can fix or is it a big garage job?

Re: 2001 Tacoma E-brake....
If you are used to working with tools you should be able to do it yourself. There is 2003 Tacoma a shop manual at:
http://misc.mmdsi.net/tacoma/tacoma-manual/ The emergency brake should be like the one used on your truck. Look under brakes in Volume II. It would be a good idea to crawl under you truck and inspect the cables and other emergency brake parts to see what has happened. That should give you some indication of what you will need to do.
