I Need Help With My Soundsystem Help!
Hello, i really need help with my soundsystem. I have a 12' New JlAudio subwoofer that is being powered by a 1000w sony explode, and my deck is a 180v Jvc that is about a couple years old. My deck is the main problem. It seems to skip on every beat from the vibration from my sub, it also skips on every bump when im driving ect. Ive talked to some friends and they say something like "You need to buy a cleaning disk" or something about the "heads" in the deck being cheap or dirty or something. I really dont know. But i really would like some suggestions on how i can fix this problem? Its almost to the point where i have to take it to a repair shop! and i dont wanna do that.... lol
And my other problem is all the rattling in my car from the subs vibration, i have the jl in my trunk facing towards the front of my car and on every beat my lisence plate almost falls off and all my factory body kits rattles ruining the sound of the bass... |

sounds like my problem... Get a new headunit. Try and get some http://mcm.newark.com/NewarkWebComme...jsp?id=60-4850 for your car and install between the panels to stop the rattling. I don't have the money cause I am buying a new setup, and will be stuck with the old rattle, but the cost isn't much.

I don't know how much I would trust some Pyle sound deadening...
Personally I would go for some Rammat, edead, fatmat, second skin, or brownbread instead

Would using spray insulation, like the stuff they use for houses that expands when you spray it and hardens, work for the chambers of a trunk lid and behind the carpet in the trunk? Im sure it would deaden rattle and keep sound in quite a bit more than nothing...plus its not heavy and wouldnt weigh the car down.

A Cd Player...or DVD Player. Its just the thing that takes the discs or tapes.

Re: I Need Help With My Soundsystem Help!
http://www.edesignaudio.com/ep2/newdead.htm this is for those who haven't got a newsletter to Edesigns. This is their latest spray deadener. 6 foot sub exists. A uhaul is used as the box for it. 12 is too large and probably not very efficient. WAY TOO costly.

an old trick for helping CD players from skipping - take the mounting ring around the CD player off, cut up some tie wraps into like 1/2" lengths and shove them between the chassis of the player and the mounting basket. Then make sure the back strap is on on their really tight. These two things will keep the CD player from vibrating so bad. If this doesn't help, you need a new player.
