Ford Explorer Distortionin JBL Sound System
I have a 1995 Ford Explorer Limited with the JBL Sound sytem installed.
For a while, the subwoofer speaker had been distorting and just yesterday morning I got a squealing noise from the system. Now the system turns on but nothing is clear but I do have noise and sound coming from the speakers. After looking this over, I suspect theat maybe the subwoofer amp has gone out or might be another problem all together. Has anyone had an experience with this set-up? I have downloaded papers which has lead me to believe I am having a sub-amp problem. Any help would be appreciated in this matter |

wow, I missed that it was a 1995 factory stereo ... after a while these things just give out. You are really lucky it lasted that long, maybe time to find some new stereo gear.
