on a budget what do you think is the best rwd drive car that is a four banger for gas efficency?

What about an AE86 with an old K series from a starlet in it?
Would handle well, and not use a lot of gas.

Yea, the Mazdaspeed Miata might take a 240sx on a track. They handle really well.

Well, he said on a budget, so I assume he can't buy a new car. That said, there are some nice aftermarket turbo and S/C kits for the Miata, so it's worth looking into.
