FIPK is just CARB approved so its emissions legal.

Unless you have strict emissions you can save a ton of money and just get a K&N conical filter and adapter.
The FIPK is ~$170 and is just an oval filter with adapter. You can get a conical filter and adapter for around $60.

Re: What is the best coilovers for right price on 95
NGK is a spark plug brand, a Greddy Type S BOV (blow off valve) is an aftermarket BOV that releases pressure between shifts in order to preserve your turbos in short. It generally makes a whistle/fluttering sound depending on how much boost you are pushing between shifts. You have a stock BOV that is quiet but it is notorious for leaking boost especially when trying to hold more than stock boost beit 9 or 12 psi.

No one still answered m question... what does a aftermakret exhaust do and what company is best bang for the buck? does a cool air intake and air filter mean the same thing?

Re: What is the best coilovers for right price on 95
If you want a true cold air intake you need to run a pipe that runs down near the front bumper where it recieves fresh air. However, I would not bother with that as intakes do not do a whole lot for our cars. On the other hand, they are a good basic upgrade to go with when you just strap on a cheap filter. Hmmm, you own a NA. I know IPS makes a real cheap single shot that reduces a fair amount of wait and is real cheap (for the TT I know it is about $380 or so, not sure if they make one for the NA). If you are looking to go for exhaust I would get a downpipe that eliminates the front precat and main cat and then gut the rear precat. If you want to go beyond that just get a cheap stock TT exhaust from someone on 3si who is selling theirs. That would be plenty good for the NA models. If you don't want to go that far just get a test pipe which eliminates the main catalytic converter and gives the exhaust a nice tone along with freeing up some of the restriction. Along with that, a test pipe is dirt cheap.

Re: What is the best coilovers for right price on 95
offset is the distance from the hub to the centerline. Offset varies because makers use different width axles, or (in the case of 3s TT's) they need brake caliper clearance, and need to center the tread width in the middle of the fender opening so the tire won't rub.
regarding the exhaust, a catback really wont get you much extra power, just different look/sound. the main benefit would really be weight loss, but that would only be noteable if you get a single shot. test pipes are a good idea unless you have to do emmissions. i'm not sure how texas plays that game. also, for future information, THESE are spacers, but as previously mentioned you shouldnt need them for an NA unless you get rims with a crazy low offset |
