1/12 Tamiya MotoGP Ducati Desmosedici No.65 Loris Capirossi (yes, ANOTHER one)

I know, many builders have gone this way before me, but what can I say?

If you have seen enough Desmosedici's, forgive me for posting these pics, if not, have fun!

Nicely finished bike! Good photos! I liked the extra attention to the wiring detailing that I was lazy on for my own.

Awesome work!!! But, never apologise for posting work of this calibre.... I particularly like the use of several types of carbon etc.
One question.... are the white sections for the fairing Marlboro's decal or paint??? Tabu's??

Both actually. The main parts are decals, but they just didn't reach the edges, so I had to add some detailpainting with white paint. The same goes for the blue decals with the "Advance" sponsoring at the bottom of the bike : the Tamiya decals are not large enough, and as far as I know I am the only one who actually painted the edges of the covers in blue. Most Duc's I have seen have black edges, and I especially checked the reference pics to convince myself that they should be blue

How do you paint the red trim on the wheels? Magical masking or some other secret?

Those are decals. Every red circle consists of 3 parts, so 12 in total. Tamiya includes 16 parts, so you have a few spares.
