so if he has a klze and i am stock besides free mods which would probably put me i guess around 210 or a little more horsepower.... i would lose? i don't think the car i am talking about has one but still would be nice to know.... also i would lose even with an awd launch? thanks for the info

..

Very close it would be if your claiming around 200 hp....... It would come down to driver but if you know how to drive well with a good 3-4k launch with good tires you would get him off the line and would win

ok i do not want to give the wrong idea such as i am nieve or anything by throwing out a number but i figured that's about what i'd be at because the stock tsi comes with 195 hp and mine is getting a new head and turbo as well as most of the intake tubes and throttle body has been cleaned up as well.... i have also removed a restricter from the boost control soleniod that is said to increase i believe 2-3 psi over stock as well as some more mods to the mas for no fuel cut and more flow..... i just wanted to clear up that i'm not just some guy throwing out false info or anything and i hope i didn't give out the wrong impression..... but still thanks for the information

you win

I have a 6, its fast i have put around 5600 in to this machine. I regular get low 13's and high twelves with spray (cheating). I have done head work and bored it out .125 in each cylinder. Upgraded the whole fuel system. Custom cams and i put a straight pipe on the bitch. Lightened Flywheel and more fun stuff. This is my daily driver i take it daily up to 6100 RPM's. It is faster than most cars especialy anything stock. Oh yah i have upped my compresion with JE pistons at 12.5 to one. This baby loves to drink.

1000 free upgrades are not going to beat my car . But the ? was would you beat this six. If you think he is just stock you will blow him out of the water. My wife has a 1995 Eclipse GSX same thing as the TSi i love to go get the groceries in this thing. I race every one.

Have fun and let us know

sounds like you have quite a nice car..... i'm just wondering because i like all sorts of new information on cars.....

are you sure about that bore? i've been messing with sbc and bbc's for pretty much all of my life and i've seen .060 on small blocks which is pushing it and .100 on big blocks as well pushing it.... big blocks usually have a lot of room so that the piston walls do not get very thin and cause cracking and such and i was just wondering if that was a typo or if that was really possible on a 6..... thanks

Re: ever raced a turbo dsm?

its is possible, i did it. The cylinder walls are very thin. I thought about resleeving it but haven't had any probs yet. It goig on 9 months since this has been done. I can no longer go above 6100 rpms as that i my new limiter. Untill further head work is done.

I have a 93 Eagle Talon tsi awd, and I raced my friend who has a 93 MX-6, and from a launch I could stay in front of him for a while, but from a roll, he would beat me, because his car does better at high rpm, and wieghs less.
