KL swap to MX-3 question

I have a few questions about this swap... First off, we dropped this engine in my 92 mazda MX-3 a few days ago but ran into a few problems. (1)The Axles will not fit! Seems like the diameter of the axles are too big for the tranny. The distributor off the KL engine uses an external coil and also has only one harness versus the two harness off the K8 engine. None of these harness that comes out from the car match the one on the distributor. Does anyone know any way around these problems? I've searched for answers on the web for soo many restless days and still unable to find a resolution for this.

PS.. You can tell that I'm a newby about this swap.

Re: KL swap to MX-3 question

1) The trannies are the same so the axels DO fit.. i dont know what else to say.

2) Swap the K8 (1,8L V6 Stock MX-3) disty onto the ZE and this should work fine. Thats what everyone else does.
