should I buy this 89 turbo?

A friend of mine at my job is selling his shelby for a pretty 1k. Should I buy into it? He just put in a new tranny, alloy rims, new stereo system, alarm, not sure how many miles, clutch, and I'm not sure but he might have already had headers and a c-back put on.

actually a little more than that. 1,400.00 for the new tranny, and you figure at least a good 200.00 on the stereo system. Plus I forgot to mention the new brakes just installed. Now if only I could find some good insurance to go along with it.

ins. only costs a few more a month to smoke that civic with the cold air intake. 200 is a little lean on a system. is it just a deck?

I doubt it. I think he put woofers in along with new speakers. He said something about having a box set up in there but uninstalled it awhile ago because the bass was screwing up his hearing.

While I'm here I might as well ask another stuipid question. Have you guys ever seen a shelby with a crystler symbol on it? One of my other co-workers mentioned it earlier today.
