flex exhaust

Anyone have any idea as to availability and cost of the flex exhaust piece used on the XL's? One muffler place told me this part runs around $200 alone.

Any time a part fails, (and you know exactly what the problem is) contact an auto recycler. They will have the part, and you will save at least half.

Hi I replaced the exh. flex pipe on my 93 aerostar I got from the local auto parts store it only costs $60.00....I had to call a few defferant stores not all places carry it...Bill

Hi! Brian,

I have 95 3.0 Last week the Flex pipe broke off from the Mufler. I search the part online I found at Ebay for 38.00 .

Put the search of aerostar 95 etc. flex pipe tail you will see this part looks like what you have.

I took my Van to the Body shop Michanic to have it replaced he charged me $75. for labor plus part. He paid 95.00 for the part locally but still it is cheap he asked me for 150.00 he thought the part was high because I told him already that I saw it for around 50.00. But, I give him 185.00 including delivery of the Van to me.

If you go to the Mechanic it will charge you more than 300.
This is easy Job I think I can do it but when I looked that the screws was really rusty.

I am 113 found woman I thought I would not look good under my Van.

If your are a handy man you can replace it urself just buy the part.

Look on Ebay I just purchased one a couple weeks ago for $25.00 plus shipping includes gasket with buy it now. Type in Ford Aerostar direct fit.
