Corvair owners in South Africa
Hi everyone!! Yes I am new to all of this cybernet searching but it seems to work. I am desperately wanting to make contact with other Chev Corvair owners in South Africa. I have two of these rather intriguing cars and both are at varying stages of being rebuilt. I can also be reached at hentysnr@gmail.com thank you for a very interesting forum.

Re: Corvair owners in South Africa
Welcome to the Forums.
Corvairs are fine cars. A few years ago, I was offered an exquisite 1965 4 door 110 hp /Powerglide car for a very good price. Foolishly, I did not buy it. Although it was not the sportiest combination, the condition was exceptionally good and well-worth the asking price. Corvairs and not really Muscle Cars, so I am moving this to the Corvair forum. |

Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought South Africans drive on the left. If so, Corvairs have their weering wheels on the wrong side.

Re: Corvair owners in South Africa
Hi there! You are correct in assuming that we drive on the wrong side of the road in relation to the States. Fortunately we are still allowed to drive "left hand drive" cars in South Africa. There was an attempt in the last year by the new ANC Government to ban all left hand drive vehicles, but fortunately we were able to fight off the attempt in the Supreme Court. Thanks for the reply, unfortunately no response from other SA's. Cheers!
