Re: Need ideas for gas door
the whole thing is held in with 2 bolts. Should be easy to remove what's left of the hinge bracket. Very common problem on Berettas and Corsicas. Just remove the bracket and then head to the junkyard, find a decent one, and then touch it up with rust paint and matching paint to yours. Then switch covers or paint it. Stay away from dealer. These hinges used to cost 25 bucks now over 90 at GM. maybe even higher now. Have had to replace on every one we have owned. Got lucky last time and found one that had actually been replaced before, in great shape. The bolts and remaining part of hinge should be found in the rear wheel well. Takes number 10 socket.

Re: Need ideas for gas door
I may not have explained it enough. The door and hinge are fine. Its the part where they mount to; that is mounted (welded) to the car. Do they make an after-market gas door ?

Re: Need ideas for gas door
I would just put a locking gas cap on it if you are concerned with someone spiking your fuel..... only other thing I can think of is remove the fuel tank, and sandblast the general area to remove the rust, then weld in new metal to make a new mounting plate.
