AC problem ???
I just recently purchased a 2005 Buick Rendevous and I love it. I am having a problem with the AC we think. The dealer is trying to get this resolved and sent it out to a Buick dealership and they claimed that they fixed the problem.
However, it still makes a whining noise when I shut the car off. Yesterday I noticed that not only the noise now. The outside temp is registering wrong for a while then fixes its self after about 10 minutes of driving. The noise is a whine in the center of the engine area closest to the dashboard. They assumed that it was an air conditioning problem. Does it when the engine is shut off and only sometimes. I do always have the AC running since it's hot here in Pa at the time. Has anyone else had this problem and if so what did you find it was. Otherwise I love this car. Thanks ~ Brenda |

Re: AC problem ???
Turn off the A/C for a few minutes and see if it is still there.

Re: AC problem ???
It happens when I shut the engine down. The AC is off sometimes. But the Buick dealer told my dealer that it was an AC problem.
It doesn't happen every time either. Thanks |

Re: AC problem ???
I have had orifice tubes that whistled. Maybe that is what it is. Try replaceing it.
