Trans. sliping problem 91 MPV
Ok the electrical problem solved, easy fix with replacing some fuses. Got the van running in about 5 min. However I soon found that the trans is mesed up. It has no 3rd gear and slips bad in 1st and 2nd. The fluid looks clean and dosen't smell burnt. This van looks like a it's a pain in the as to work on any thing. So I am not looking forwad to pulling the trans my self. Any one done a trans job on one of these?
Thanks Mike |

Ok trans problem solved. It turns out that there is a pump in the transfer case which was shot. The transfer case was low on fluid and that is probally why it burned up.

Re: Trans. sliping problem 91 MPV
After all this time and about 2500. dollars later I am finally driving this van. It wasn't the transfercase afterall, the trans needed a complete overhaul. I had this to 5 different shops before the problem was finally fixed. Was ripped off by some and taken care of by others. The last time I farm work out to other shops, because I am too busy to do it myself.
