Hey to all

I have a 99 Cougar V6 4 Speed Auto and after 30 minutes or more of in city driving outside the car I can smell the sweet smell of antifreeze being burned off the engine.
All the hoses look to be in good shape, the temp gauge does not get out of normal range, the cooling fans work, I have not found any puddles under the car and I have not put more than a pint, total, of water in the resovoir in 9 months so it is a small leak.
But a light on the dash resembling a radator is lite all the time
I've had it scanned several times and nothing comes up. It has been to the local Ford dealer twice and they can not find a leak or get the light to go out except after resetting the ECM and it only takes 30 more minutes or so of driving to get it back on.
Should I be looking at the engine temp sensors all together or a specific one?
The leak is small but the light being on is a eye sore.
Any and all help/advice will be greatly appreciated.
