double din suggestions
My wife has an 04 vibe. I would like to get her a nice aftermarket stereo for it. the space that is currently there is the size of a double din so I would like ot keep it the same. I am not very familiar with any of the units but some things it would have to have is an actual volume knob. not the push buttons. and it would be good if it had larger style buttons on it. some of those on the single din stereos are damn small!!
money is not really an issue within reason. just something quality. I am currently running a premier series deh480 pioneer and have been extremely happy with it. to get the same in the larger unit would be perfect aside from the button size. thanks for any help you can give me. |

Re: double din suggestions
they look like it will do the trick. have zero experience with double dins so figured you guys would give me the most honest opinion. the HU looks pretty nice and the buttons are a good size.

double din was something car companies came up with to discourage people from replacing factory radios, it also gave them more room to integrate other car electronics into the one box.

Re: double din suggestions
if i had a double din, i would go to ebay and invest in a touchscreen monitor that fills her up. i only mention it cuz sometimes it isn't out of reason and may be worth a shot. Otherwise, besides getting a kit or maybe an equalizer, pioneer/premiere is what i would do; their receivers have been getting bigger knobs over the past few years, especially the models with that 7 way rotary knob that supposedly controls most of the stuff.
