i am planning on swapping a rb20det into my 91 nissan 240sx se coupe. i was curious if there will be a large difference in my weight ratio running a rb20det rather than sr or ka? also, i was wondering if any other sites are out there selling rb20's i want to get bunch of price quotes before i actually purchase the front clip.

Hmm

Im new to the forum and I was wondering if anyone knew where i might be able to buy an engine preferrably an RB25DE (non-turbo)? Even if its just to buy the engine then have it installed by me or a local shop. I cant believe the amount of stupid questions. But any help would be appreciated.

Re: RB SWAP FAQ FROM UNSTABLE. GOT AN RB QUESTION? LOOK HERE FIRST!

Hi, anyone I got a 91 Nissan 240sx
My speedometer is not responding at times, the needle marks at higher speeds.
Does anyone know were I can locate the vehicle speed sensor, and how do I check it?

Do I need to change the cluster?

Re: RB SWAP FAQ FROM UNSTABLE. GOT AN RB QUESTION? LOOK HERE FIRST!

I'm a little confused on the RB25det mounting into the S13. I want the engine to sit properly in the engine bay, as in not sit 1" high and1" forward. I am currently planning on buying a front clip and the motor mounts from mckinney motorsports. Will I be using the R32-33 crossmember or is a custom crossmember going to be supplied with the mounting kit, or anybody's mounting kit.

I'm asking because if the crossmember is replaced by the kit then I have an option not to buy the front clip and instead purchase an engine swap kit.

I thought it was the RB25 that was a pain to get to the plugs because of that weirdo intake manifold that goes over the valve cover.

ummm

Logik your ummm whats called "Correct"..The RB25DET is where Nissan went "wait a minute... are you saying the Intake gets hot from sitting right above the Head? no way? Customers complaining about changing spark plugs? Ok ok...for you the public having troubles with the Spark plugs well throw in a bigger Straight 6 and another Turbo and make it AWD. will that be ok?"
