have you changed the battery? does it say kia on it? if it does it is the original battery. this is starting to sound like my wifes 2000 kia before i told her to replace her battery.

they put a brand new battery in when i bought it maybe a month and a half ago

I do not insist on this, but the conditions required to light up the CEL with P0335 or P0336 are running conditions: poor signal during starting only generally does not bring a code. However, most crank sensor failures are worst when engine is warm...so this works on your side.

Most improbable. Removing the belt would just confirm if a/c is the source of the noise.

Finally, was the IAC valve cleaned? That is a 0$ maintenance and it has proved to be the solution to poor starting in SEVERAL cases.
