help big trouble!

my 88 town car wont go past 70 mph and it takes like 30 seconds to get that high i thought it was the tranny i had 2 others tell me i needed a new one cost me 1,200 still runs like shit it seems like it aint getting feul could it be the fuel filter or pump im hoping or is the car junk?

Hard to say. just saying it runs like crap isn't very descriptive. I'm assuming you have an OK fuel filter/pump ?

Plugged fuel filter, restricted exhaust, bad plugs, wires, cap or rotor. A complete tune up is in order first. Good Luck.
