Argh! Key Fob Horn Button???

WTF is this button supposed to do???

Is it an alarm arming switch???

Or is it just something to help you find your X in a crowded parking lot???

(Like my Solar Yellow X can't be found in less than 2 seconds)...

I keep hitting this button when reaching in my pocket to lock the doors...Then I have to hit the Unlock button to silence the horn...

It's an emergency button...suppose to be so you can activate the alarm if you feel endangered or something near your vehicle and want to draw the attention of others.

I don't have a problem with pushing mine accidentally, but if it's a problem for you maybe the button can be deactivated somehow?

I'm sure you could pop open the fob like you were going to change the battery and figure a way to disable it. On my 2000 fob it's a self-contained micro-switch, you can't slip a piece of paper in between the contacts, but a thin plastic ring around/over it would prevent the button from coming down far enough to trip it. Not sure about the newer fobs.
