Unhappy 93 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0 Crank Position Sensor?

93 Cherokee 4.ol Will Not Start, Ran Fine Then Suddenly Will Not Start. Checked Plugs, Wires, Coil, Cap, Rotor, Fuel Pump, Fuel Filter, Fuel Pressure 42psi., Good Spark From Coil And All Plugs. New Battery, Security System Not An Issue. After Reading This Forum I May Be Discovering A Crank Position Sensor Problem?? Any Ideas..when I Crank The Engine There Is No Rpm Indication On The Tach. I Have Spark, Good Fuel Pressure And Some Air, But No Bang?? Anyone Know Exactly Where The Cps Is In The Engine Compartment. Should I Be Looking For The Crank Or Cam Position Sensor.
Any Help Would Be Greatly Appreciated. Thanks Rick

There is a ballast resistor onthe drivers fender. Try running a jumper wire across the terminals or hold the throttle wide open and the try to start if it does the resisitor is bad.Fuel pump ballast resistor, fuction is to keep the fuel pump noise down. Since you have spark i dont think it is the CPS.

Did you check for spark at the coil wire or the plug wires. Try giving it a shot of starting fluid. The crankshaft position sensor is located on the drivers side on the bellhousing. if you need picture i can send one. Holler jeepman600@aol.com Dale
