LOL, my friend from work went ot Japan last October, so I gave her a disposable camera and told her to take pictures of any car that had side scoops or "looked pointy." She only used 7 of the pictures, but she got a Honda Beat, a Nissan Fairlady Z (300ZX), a Porsche 944, and the front window of a BMW dealership, with a yellow car inside, but I can't make it out, and she couldn't remember. I didn't have the heart to tell her that I see a hundred 944s and about double that in 300ZXs a week. I just told her the picture came out great.
If I ever get near a scanner, I'll put up the pictures of the Beat. |

I'm at the moment saving like hell to go to Australia for Bathust
For all of you know about Aussie V8 Supercars this is the place to go to watch for a weekend of horsepower, beer and women !!! Would still love to go to Japan but it's a bit to far out of my price range due to a car of mine sitting in the shed soaking up most of my money to get it ready for a bash at the show circuit Silver S2000....YOU MUST have been a bit pissed off to only get a few photos back.

Silver, I did not take the photos myself. Took it from a Malaysian site. Will post more when they are available. Your story about your lady friend in Japan with the camera is really funny. The same would happen if I ever ask my wife to take photos of cars I suppose
The race was really great. I'd been to many F1 race and rally, but the JGTC is the best! Primera: do u know that Bathurst was the place the GTR R32 earned the nickname Godzilla? Despite the Australian's love for V8, the R32 whipped them all in the first year. The second year was the same story. The third, they imposed weight penalty on the R32 but it still won. So they finally banned R32 altogether for having "unfair advantage"! The inline 6 really bruised their V8 ego, did'nt it? |

Yeah it was good to see the Godzilla kick arse.
Was even better when Jim Richards got stuck into the crowd with his victory speech after the race !!!!!. Was the same when Ford turned up and started to win in the RS5000. Yes their ego was hurt !!!!

Naw, I wasn't mad at her. It was my fault, really. I showed her a bunch of pictures, but that didn't really help her, so, like I said before, I told her to snap anything that had side scoops or "looked pointy." I figured "pointy" was a good adjective for most sportscars. And the Beat did have side scoops. Besides, I didn't really expect her to spend her vacation worring about what cars I like. I'm happy with the Beat all by itself. :sun:
