02 WRX fuel smell
Ok so I had the common fuel smell in cold weather. I took it to the dealer and had them fix the poroblem. The replaced the fuel rail, hoses, clamps, and intake gaskets.
Guess what still smells like fuel when I turn on the fan. I pulled the air filter and it smelled like gas so I replaced it thinking that might take care of it. Nope now my brand new filter smells like gas and the smell is still there when turning on the fan. My guess is that they either didn't fix the right problem or they didn't tighten something enough when they replaced the parts. Any ideas? |
