I have a 1987 porsche 944 NA, and I was wonding if I could do donuts with it. Also, besides the fact, how do you do a good donut with a rear wheel drive car?

A big parking lot would be a good place to start. Have your wheels cocked hard left and keep the steering wheel left when you hit the gas, it'll want to straighten out bad. Stomp the gas, and when you hear the tires start to squeal, use your left foot and start to tap the brakes. The ass end should come around but watch your tach, you dont want to over-rev it and blow the engine.

Re: To do a donut?
if you cant get it to spin under its own power, drive in circles at full lock, be going quite slow, then put in clutch, revs up, pop clutch an get the rears spinning. should do the trick

Re: To do a donut?
if it's an automatic and you can't get the tires to spin, hold the brake, rev up with the gas, turn the wheel all the way in one direction and let go of the brak as fast as you can. that should get them spinning, if not, i don't think your car will.

trust me you can do donuts in a 944 na i drive an 87 as well it has susp work and stickies on it. And here is the most effective way to do it that I have found. You start driving in a straight line or u can go from stop with wheel cocked. And go through first till about 4000-4200 and then shift into second and slam the throttle but only half engage the clutch to let it "slip" this will inturn cause the ass-end to slip around then let out the clutch the rest of the way and slam that throttle and enjoy
